Privacy Policy
How Take Care Detailing collects, uses and protects your information. Effective October 9, 2026.
Take Care Detailing (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides mobile car detailing in Calgary, Chestermere and Airdrie, Alberta. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and when you book or contact us, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you book online or contact us, you may give us your name, email address, phone number, the address where the service will take place, details about your vehicle (such as make, model and condition), your chosen package, and any notes or questions you include.
Information collected automatically. When you visit this website, our website host may automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed and the date and time of your visit. This is used to keep the site running, secure and working well. The site may also use cookies and similar technologies (see section 6).
Photos of vehicles. We may take photos of vehicles before, during and after a detail to document our work and, with your consent, to show examples of our results.
This website does not collect payment card details.
2. How we use your information
- To schedule, confirm and carry out your appointment, including travelling to your location.
- To answer your questions and communicate with you about your booking, including reminders and follow-ups.
- To honour our satisfaction guarantee and handle any concerns about the work.
- To keep business records and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
- To maintain, secure and improve this website.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to the above without asking you first.
3. Photos on our website and social media
We only publish photos of vehicles that we have detailed. Before photos are posted on this website or on social media, we crop or blur licence plates, house numbers and other details that could identify a person or a location. If you appear in a photo or recognize your vehicle and would like it changed or removed, contact us and we will take care of it promptly.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only as needed to run our business:
- Online booking. Bookings are made through Calendly, which collects the details you enter and sends them to us. Calendly’s own privacy policy applies to the information you give it.
- Website hosting. This website is hosted by WordPress.com (Automattic Inc.), which processes technical information about visitors on our behalf.
- Email and social media. If you email us or message us on Instagram, that service processes your message under its own privacy policy.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
Some of these providers store or process information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.
5. Retention and security
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable safeguards, including access controls and trusted service providers, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files stored on your device. This website and its hosting platform may use cookies and similar tools to keep the site working, remember preferences and understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as expected. Third-party tools such as our booking calendar and embedded social links may set their own cookies.
7. Your choices and rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our use of it, subject to legal and contractual limits. You may also ask us to delete your information once we no longer need it. To make a request, email us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will respond within a reasonable time.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
8. Children
Our services and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Links to other sites
This website links to other sites, such as Instagram and our booking calendar. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
